The rumors are finally revealed to be true - Jurassic World VelociCoaster is coming to Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure Summer 2021! This intense coaster which you can see via renderings in the video below really looks like it’s going to finally put that six foot turkey adage to rest.

The name VelociCoaster has been hinted at for a while, so it’s nice to finally see it confirmed. The name makes a ton of sense - “Veloci” referring to both Velociraptors and speed! It’ll be an interesting addition to the Jurassic Park section of Islands of Adventure, seeing as though this is a Jurassic World attraction. Lately, Universal Orlando hasn’t cared too much about the cohesion in their Jurassic Park land, with the Blue meet and Greet already inside the Jurassic Park island. One of the biggest questions has been the waterfront view and how it’ll blend the elements of Jurassic Park and Jurassic World - and a t least via the artist’s rendering, it looks wonderful at night.

Stay tuned, as we have much to decipher in the announcement video. Be on the lookout for more content surrounding the coaster soon. For now, check out today’s video (a coincidence?) featuring our discussion on Jurassic World VelociCoaster in this week’s episode of The Jurassic Park Podcast.
