BioSyn Valley, The Malta Black Market & More Return in Jurassic World Chaos Theory Season 3

The trailer for the third season of Jurassic World Chaos Theory has stormed onto our screens, and it promises us a story which looks set to collide with the events of Jurassic World Dominion. Check out the full trailer at the bottom of this post!

It’s clear from the trailer that Soyona Santos will be the heart of this season, with her relationship with Brooklynn playing a central part of this season. As we see throughout the trailer, our characters appear to wrestle with the fact that their friend may be changing for the worst. Is she really just doing this to get to the heart of the story, or is there a darker shift in store for everyone’s favourite influencer?

Beyond the heart of the story come several interesting details which are likely to make fans of the wider franchise rejoice. Throughout this trailer we see references to the Italian borders, meaning we are not far from BioSyn Valley, and also see the Malta Black Market appear directly in the trailer – complete with an adrenaline-fuelled scooter chase which feels like a homage to Owen being chased by the Atrociraptors.

Further smaller details sprinkled in throughout the trailer, such as the appearance of Lewis Dodgson and even the locusts from Jurassic World Dominion suggest that this series is planning to run concurrent to the events we experienced in the third Jurassic World film, perhaps expanding on that story and the Hexapod Allies programme BioSyn were developing.

An interesting question is where the mysterious ‘Handler’ slots into this equation? It is clear from the trailer that she appears in the season, and was possibly even in Malta during the bust at the black market which saw Claire Dearing and Owen Grady partner up with the CIA’s Dangerous Species Division. Could the DSD play more of a role in this upcoming season?

Whatever is the story here – it’s fair to say that we are on course to see plenty more of the characters that we all know and love. I, for one, cannot wait to see more of this new season, and hope that characters like Kayla Watts may even return for this next entry in the animated world. It’s fair to say that the creative team at Dreamworks continue to knock this series out of the Jurassic Park.

What are you hoping to see in the third season of Chaos Theory? We’d love to read your thoughts in the comments below.

The show will debut on April 3rd on Netflix – so look out for plenty more content ahead of the show’s debut right here on The Jurassic Park Podcast.
