Jurassic World: The Movie Exhibition has had a slew of new items added to it in recent weeks and months – and it looks like Jurassic fans in the United States may not have to wait long for the in-person experience to return, as a recent Instagram Post from City Neon Holdings confirms that the Exhibition is once again returning Stateside.
The post in question shows some of the huge containers which hold the animatronics and other assets from the show being loaded into an Antonov AN 124 aircraft. Initially we thought this was the same plane which appeared in Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom, the Ilyushin II-76TD-90VD, but the Antonov actually predates this aircraft although the two were very much built for the same purpose. A fun bit of real-life ‘lore’ which we thought was fun to include!
We don’t know many more details at this stage – although City Neon have released a video teasing the Exhibition going on the road which does make it appear as though the entire location has been packed up – including everyone’s favourite Velociraptor, Blue. This means that a lot of the newer additions which we have seen (many of which appear to be inspired by Camp Cretaceous), so we are sure that the experience will be drastically difference for US fans who may have already got to experience it in its previous iteration.
It had previously been implied that there would be multiple version of the Exhibition touring at any one stage in prior materials released by Universal Pictures, so we are intrigued to see if they are sticking to the one-tour format and investing more resources into that, or whether we may see more locations offering the exhibition simultaneously once we have passed the current global pandemic.
Regardless of this, it is exciting to think that many fans will have the chance to once again get up-close and personal with their favourite dinosaurs from the Jurassic franchise. Experiences like this play a vital role in creating meaningful events which Jurassic fans can engage with, so we’re excited to see a whole host of meetups, and hopefully community engagement, begin to unfold as the Exhibition completes its tour Stateside. Who knows – maybe we’ll see you there!
