Jurassic World Evolution 2 Park Managers’ Collection Pack Revealed

The hype (and Kelp discussion…) has been building for the new Jurassic World Evolution 2 DLC – and it has now been revealed by Frontier Developments, giving us our first look at the ‘Jurassic World Evolution 2 Park Managers’ Collection’.

This brand new DLC adds four brand new species to our parks – the Megalodon, Microceratus, Segisaurus and Thanatosdrakon. It’s fair to say there has been a lot of excitement for the reveal of the Megalodon – which looks absolutely fantastic in-game here. There has also been a lot of discussion around whether this pack would finally incorporate Jurassic World Dominion’s Microceratus into the roster of animals in the game – and we are delighted to see it finally included here!

Alongside these two fan-requested dinosaurs, we also have the Segisaurus – an animal which does appear on the brochure for the original Jurassic Park, and which is quite synonymous with the history of the franchise. Thanatosdrakon seems like a bit of an outlier here, but is a cool large pterosaur which rivals the Quetzalcoatlus in terms of its size and scale – giving us more options for larger aerial predators within our parks. Alongside these four new creatures we also get a brand-new dinosaur skin for the T. rex – Little Eatie from Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous.

There will also be new decorations added in a free update. These include three different varieties of Kelp which can decorate your Lagoons, and also a version of the Lagoon Light which can now be built on land to illuminate your park. This is particularly exciting as the lights in the Lagoons have a spotlight-esque functionality, so the ability to place a version of this in our parks could add some very cool aesthetics to our builds.

There are also lots of bug fixes here – notably for the hybrid dinosaurs, and also for some of the Camp Cretaceous entries in the Jurassic World Database, alongside a bunch of smaller quality of life fixes.

I’m excited to finally see Megalodon and Microceratus added to Jurassic World Evolution 2, and think the in-game models for these dinosaurs look fantastic. The title of this DLC does feel very conclusionary to me – so I do wonder if this is perhaps the final piece of DLC which we will see released for the second iteration of Jurassic World Evolution. For now, only time will tell!
