A New Island Awaits | Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous Drops December 3rd

A New Islands Awaits us on December 3rd! Dreamworks Animation revealed the release date for Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous via a motion poster on their social media channels. See the season four reveal below:

The motion poster teaser reveals an extremely ominous tone, stating “a new island awaits” - could it be Isla Sorna. It sure looks like it. The “push in” reveal of an island is synonymous with Isla Sorna, as we’ve seen in The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park 3. This teaser copies that formula, and lays on the 4 note raptor motif from Jurassic Park that has been used across the franchise. Could this teaser be hinting at Velociraptor ties to Isla Sorna? Of course, they legitimately could be going to a “new island” and not be referring to Isla Sorna at all, but I’m sticking with the tried and true.

If the tease of a new island wasn’t enough, we also get a glimpse into a complete new location - a desert. The first thing that pops into my mind when thinking about Jurassic lore and the desert is Jurassic World Live Tour and the facility that held raptors in the Atacama Desert in Chile.

In the Live Tour, InGen had a facility in the Atacama Desert, so is there some way we are visiting that exact facility? As we know, it has been stated that Jurassic World Live Tour is considered “soft canon”, so would that stop Dreamworks from pulling content from the tour to add things to canon? Now, how would we see Chile, you ask? I suspect if we do end up going that route, it could be a story-line that follows Dr. Henry Wu, after the events of Season 3. It would be incredible to see Dr. Wu take his research from Nublar, out to Chile before landing at his destination in Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom - the Lockwood Estate.

Now, of course we may not be going to Isla Sorna or Chile, so where do you think we may be heading? There’s many routes the Netflix show could take, so sound off below with your thoughts!
