Recently, we covered the first major DLC expansion for Jurassic World Evolution, which was titled The Secrets of Dr Wu. It seems like the amazing folks over at Frontier Developments are not content to leave it at just that, however – as we have another fantastic update coming in the form of the Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack! This smaller-scale update is due to release soon at the time of writing this, and introduces three brand-new dinosaurs to our parks.
The first dinosaur is incredibly popular with dinosaur lovers –the Iguanodon. The Iguanodon is a special dinosaur for me as it is closely associated with a town near where I live – Maidstone. Maidstone is the only town in England to have a dinosaur on its coat of arms, with that dinosaur being the Iguanodon! As such I have a lot of love for this quadruped herbivore, and I am excited to see it added to the Jurassic World Evolution mix!
Next up, we have a towering new Sauropod – the Dreadnoughtus! The Dreadnoughtus is believed to be one of the largest land animals that ever lived, towering to similar heights of Sauropods like Brachiosaurus, Apatosaurus and more! The name Dreadnoughtus means ‘fears nothing’, but we will have to wait and see how applicable this name truly is when the dinosaur faces the likes of the Indominus Rex in Jurassic World Evolution.
Lastly, but certainly not least, we have an additional fearsome Carnivore to join the pre-existing ranks – the Carcharodontosaurus. The Carcharodontosaurus is described as having sharp and jagged teeth – so it will be interesting to see this carnivore go up against the likes of Giganotosaurus and the Tyrannosaurus itself!
